Alice Pyne is dying, but she’s not going quietly.

The 15-year-old British terminal cancer patient started a blog on Monday listing the things she would like to do before passing on, and by Thursday, “Alice’s Bucket List” was a trending topic on Twitter.

Pyne’s sudden Internet fame was spurred on by British Prime Minister David Cameron, who on Wednesday mentioned her plight in the House of Commons, and by Twitter posts from Justin Bieber and Katy Perry.

Among the 17 bucket list items listed on Alice’s blog, which as of yesterday had 11,268 followers, are “swim with sharks” and “to go to Cadbury World and eat loads of chocolate.”

Pyne’s writing voice is modest, funny and sweet.

“I’ve lived in PJs for about a year so mum is going to town to buy some things to bring back for me to try.  She’ll bring loads but I’ll no doubt end up wearing leggings and a shirt :),” she wrote on her blog.

So far, Pyne has already checked one item off her list. She has tickets to see the U.K. boy band Take That, whom she also wants to meet.

There are some items on the list that Pyne will never be able to do: She would like to visit Kenya, but doctors have prohibited her from traveling abroad, and she would like to be a dolphin trainer, but she is now too ill from Hodgkin’s lymphoma to pursue it.

Though Pyne says she doesn’t want anyone to send her cash, she is very excited that her blog has helped raise more than $16,000 for the fight against cancer.

“OH WOW OH WOW OH WOW it’s the middle of the night and we just hit £10,000 for CANCER RESEARCH,” she blogged on Friday. “We can’t go to bed because we’re hooked on reading all the messages.”
