Episode 2: Bluegrass Brothers
Califon, N.J.

The banjo was so heavy that 9-year-old Jonny Mizzone would sometimes rest on his back while he played, eyes closed in concentration. His brothers, Tommy on the guitar and Robbie on the fiddle, joked that their banjo-strumming sibling looked like he was asleep. Thus was born the Sleepy Man Banjo Boys, a New Jersey bluegrass sensation. Playing festivals and concerts around the state, not to mention an appearance on Letterman, their music will soon carry them to Nashville to record their first album. Of course, they still quibble about practice schedules and set lists, as any band would. Especially a band of brothers.
