Episode 5: Ghost hunting at America’s Stonehenge
North Salem, N.H.
Miles traveled: 1,125
Don’t call them “Ghostbusters.” Call them “ghost hunters.” Working under the banner of the East Coast Transcommunication Organization — ECTO — this crew of specter sleuths uses tools both ancient and modern to seek out electromagnetic traces left by departed souls and to communicate with the world beyond. We joined them for a hunt at America’s Stonehenge, a curious ruin of rocks and chambers in southeast New Hampshire that may be one of the oldest manmade structures in North America. Researchers can’t determine who built it or when, but for ECTO, these are prime paranormal hunting grounds.
