ROCKET ACROSS AMERICA

Hunting humans for sport

Saturday, August 13, 2011

The Daily is sending reporter Justin Rocket Silverman on a cross-country expedition to find the best, the boldest, and the strangest our nation has to offer. It's a great summer road trip — and you’re invited to ride shotgun. Buckle up, stay safe, and enjoy America!

WHERE'S ROCKET NOW?
Episode 6: Hunting humans for sport
Somewhere in the Northeast

When Richard Connell wrote “The Most Dangerous Game” in 1924, he probably didn’t expect a madcap Yankee would try to make a business out of being tracked as game. Yet that’s just what the founder of huntme4sport.com has done, offering himself up as bait for the price of $10,000. The Daily met up with Mork Encino in the backwoods of New England (we agreed not to specify where) and went hunting. Encino knew the land well and ran fast for a man of his size — but not quite fast enough.
