While many designers upped the hemline ante to flouncy minis for spring, Lam is clearly not quite finished with the midi- and maxi-dress trend of 2010. Though the cuts felt a little stale, patterns and textures freshened a collection that was half Amalfi resort town and half springtime for the working girl. Belted leather tops and tailored pencil skirts lent some gravity, ikats and overblown paisleys felt Mediterranean, and sheer blouses gave an otherwise buttoned-up collection some sexy appeal (if just a very sparing dash).
