Brown, 22, was forced to find new digs following a string of complaints about raucous late-night parties from fed-up neighbors in his former residence who described the R&B singer as the neighbor from hell.
Designed by acclaimed Los Angeles-based architect Jay Vanos, Brown’s new home, equipped with its own elevator, is on a quiet street high above the hustle and bustle of Hollywood — but neighbors are bracing for the worst.
“A few of us are nervous about what is going to happen, given Brown’s track record,” said one resident.
“This is a very peaceful street. We’ve never had any trouble here … we won’t hesitate to call the police if things get out of hand.”
Brown’s $200,000 Lamborghini Gallardo — with a custom paint job inspired by the Air Force’s F-86 Sabre transonic jet fighter — could be seen last week parked inside the garage, as painters on ladders touched up the exterior.
The controversial crooner — who was up for two American Music Awards last night — has listed for sale his former home four miles away in West Hollywood, where neighbors in the condominium building complained of his behavior.
Brown paid $1.6 million for the three-bedroom condo in February last year.
“This is a much better fit for Chris,” a source told Radar Online. “He won’t have to deal with pesky, nosy neighbors or parking issues. Chris is much happier at his new house.
According the sales info, “this impressive architectural home is tailor made for those demanding high design … Multiple bridges cross over well-tailored outdoor spaces … Clean chic finishes accompanied with soaring ceilings create the ultimate transparent party house.”
Last week, Brown’s notorious temper flared again after one of his 5.7 million Twitter followers brought up Brown’s 2009 assault against Rihanna, prompting him to unleash a profanity-laced tirade.
“Don’t say s*** to anybody and everyone feels its cool to attack me. GROWN ADULTS!!!! That s*** happened three years ago,” Brown tweeted.
“I’ve never dealt with so much negativity in my life! It’s to the point now that it’s just ridiculous! I’M NOT A POLITICIAN! MY MUSIC DOESNT PROMOTE VIOLENCE nor will it ever! Only thing it will increase is the pregnacy rate!”
In June 2009, Brown pleaded guilty to one count of felony assault after beating up Rihanna, narrowly avoiding jail. He was given five years’ probation and six months’ community service.
Brown’s publicists at the Rogers and Cowan agency did not respond to requests for comment.
