From tough interviews to glitzed-out toddlers, the most riveting snippets on TV

1. The royal wedding
An exclusive guest list (Elton John, David Beckham). A voluptuous backside ensconced in white (Pippa). A glowering, scene-stealing bridal attendant (Grace Van Cutsem). Never before has America’s imagination been so captured by holy matrimony.

2. The Kardashian wedding
An exclusive guest list (Brittny Gastineau, George Lopez). A voluptuous backside ensconced in white (Kim). A glowering, scene-stealing bridal attendant (Khloe). Never before has America’s imagination been so captured by holy matrimony.

3. Oprah’s last episode
A ceremony of self-celebration cloaked in inspirational vagueness, this may be the once-unsinkable O’s last shining moment, as her OWN channel thus far has proved less than momentous.

4. Lara Logan on “60 Minutes”
The CBS anchor was sexually assaulted while reporting from Tahrir Square in Cairo. She discussed the experience in a somber “60 Minutes” interview, shedding light on the plight of many female journalists.

5. Charlie Sheen
Need we say any more? Though Sheen’s mania is by now a familiar reality, “#winning” and “tiger blood” were new, exciting and all we talked about for a while there.

6. The “Toddlers & Tiaras” prosti-tot
“It was funny,” is how Wendy Dickey defended dressing her 3-year-old Paisley up as Julia Roberts’ hooker character in “Pretty Woman.” In reality TV, nothing that gets you attention is worth repenting.

7. Chaz Bono on “Dancing with the Stars”
ABC’s bold casting of the transgender Bono brought us one step closer to a world where casting a transgender person on a family show isn’t so bold at all.

8. “Boardwalk Empire” season two finale
“I am not seeking forgiveness,” Atlantic City kingpin Nucky Thompson snarls at his former right-hand man Jimmy Darmody (Michael Pitt), before putting a bullet between his eyes. For offing the show’s most dynamic character, “Boardwalk Empire” creator Terence Winter should be.

9. Melissa McCarthy’s Emmy
McCarthy was flanked by her fellow comediennes as she accepted the Emmy for Outstanding Lead Actress in a comedy series. It was a moment of jubilant camaraderie for all laffy ladies.

10. Jerry Sandusky’s interview with Bob Costas
So shocking was the moment when Sandusky floundered at denying his sexual attraction to young boys that the interview may be the nail in the coffin of his court case.
